    Do Reptiles Have Feelings? I Say Yes!

     


    Idk about snakes they give me the willys but we have a turtle.  I did not want her no freaking way, but I lost the fight when someone gave us a HUGE aquarium tank.  We cleaned it up and make it look pretty and Christened Darthette in it.  (He turned out to be a she so Darthette replaced Darth Vader) We have been in love with her from day 1.  Watching her swim and run down the feeder fish.

    If you go to her tank she'll pop up out of the water and make like she enjoys you talking baby talk to her.  She'll kinda just bob around where you are.



    Well, recently my son got a bug catcher kit and started putting them in the tank.  She LOVES them and it's been a lot of fun to watch the poor pesky bugs meet their demise.  So my husband has taken to buying crickets and has taught the turtle to beg.  As soon as he gets home from work she swims to that side of the aquarium and starts trying to get on her tip toes knowing full well she's going to get a cricket. 



    Never did I think when we got this "reptile" did I think she would be so much enjoyment.  I never thought she would be social but she is.  This brings me back to my question Do Reptiles Have Feelings?  I have to say yes.  I'm going to say I'm still on the line about snakes and refuse to look or touch one but my little Darthette loves us!

    School Has Begun

    I'm glad my kids are back in school *whoop* but next week I'll miss them

    I have noticed the house is staying cleaner *sigh*  I'd rather have it messy and full of laughter.

    The pets have been are mourning their masters departures *giggles* They fight to get to the door and welcome them home.

    It was supposed to be getting cooler outside.  We didn't have a summer *humph* Its 80 out today.

    My husband is mowing for the last time of the season.  *exhales* IF it's not an Indian Summer.

    I can go anywhere I want right now and no worries where the kids are.  *groans* Now I must haul in all the groceries on my own.

    Mercy ME!

    My mom used to say that and "LORD HAVE MERCY GOD" when we were all fighting.  Usually because of something my brother did and I finished and it was said in an loud scream with a long sign.  Usually then she held the temple of her head lol.

    My mom used to wish upon my one sister and I a child worse than we were.  Well we both got one.  Mine is my youngest.  He's driving me crazy.  He's throwing tantrums and absolutely screams.  Ok so spanks are no longer fashionable so what is a mother to do?  Put him in the corner?  Nah he'll just snot it up.  Take away his favorite toy?  Nahhh he sleeps with it.

    Nope I threw my self  (big self I might add) and started throwing the tantrum with him.  He stopped and his mouth fell silently open as he watched.  I wasn't done though when he begged me to stop I got louder.  When he stamped his foot I just kept right on going until HE who wanted to listen no more went to his room and slammed the door.  PHEW now it's quiet in here!
